Welcome to my personal page!
I’m an economist at the World Bank's Office of the Chief Economist for Latin America and the Caribbean. I completed my PhD in Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2023. Prior to my Ph.D., I worked at the Research Department of the IMF and the World Bank Chief economist office for LAC. Before moving to the U.S., I completed my undergraduate and master's degree in economics at la Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.
I’m currently working on the dissemination of a LAC flagship report on informality "Rationalizing Informality"
Research projects I’m working on are related to the use of AI in LAC, labor informality, migration decisions in response to economic shocks, and the effect of firms' age on workers earnings dynamics.
